gift certificate
The other day Gary had a fund raiser set up for the scouts to do for camp money. He needed eight boys to help with a bike race. Only four boys were available to work, so our children and the neighbor kids went to help. They came back with red Hawaiian shirts, tons of food and a gift certificate. Katee's name was drawn out of a hat. It was $100 to a Bingham Cyclery. I looked online the cheapest bike was 289. and it was a kids bike. Other bikes got as high as 2,000 or more. So I wondered what our measly $100 would get her. We ended up buying six water bottles--the nice camelbak. Katee got a bike bell and we got some tire gue. It was funny how lucky we all felt to have a $100 certificate when in reality it wasn't much at all.

good work Family! you were lucky to receive those neat things.
It felt like christmas. LOL.The dude at the bike store thought I was weird. Remember: everyones weird but me and you and sometimes I worry about you!
Sounds like you made out pretty good. Those camel backs are pretty cool!!
I know someone that would say, "purchasing a bike is worth the penny you spend." but then again, he would spend most of his paycheck on everything that went with the ride! ;-) ...and his employer, a bike shop, has gone out of business... :-(
Love hearing about your family and you! Love ya cous!
It is good to work together with your family. You are building memories that sometime will seem very special to all of you. Enjoy the neat gifts. Grandma Gatha
